Must support: Cooking, blacksmithing, leatherworking, tailoring, carpentry, alchemy, pottery, masonry, finesmithery, etc..
Basic concepts
You decide what you want to make from a list of known recipies. You need those materials. Then you will craft the item. Depending on the recipie, you may or may not need to be present while it is being crafted. (Baking, no. tailoring, yes)
A crafting has only one step, although more complicated things may be made using multiple steps. For example. Pie crust requires flour and eggs. Apple pie requires pie crust and apples.
At the time of crafting, the required items must be in your inventory. We will assume that you will put the stuff in the oven at the time of crafting, etc. During the crafting process, the relative difficulty of the crafted item will be compared to the skill of the crafter. The process may fail.
Drive crafting via skill based minigames! Imagine tailoring: creating a shirt will require you cut out the fabric for that shirt. So an outline of the fabric will appear on screen and the player will use the mouse to "cut" it out. The quality of the item will depend on how well they cut in the minigame. They could also "thread the needle" or be required to make a few stitches.
